Manufacturing
- Mix the fruit pieces with sugar and vanilla in a large saucepan and let the juice form for about 90 – 120 minutes … bring to a boil, simmer for about 20 minutes and puree finely with a pair of coarse to whole pieces of fruit … continue to simmer leave until a thick syrupy mixture is formed (approx. 10-15 minutes) … fill a jar that has been rinsed with hot water, screw it on and stand upside down, let it cool for approx. 5-7 minutes … turn it over and let it cool completely
Storage & shelf life
- Store airtight jars in a cool, dark place where the fruit honey will keep for several months … keep the opened jar in the refrigerator and use within a few weeks
