Ingredients

  • 150 g Fig pulp

liquid

  • 125 ml Dry red wine

seasoning

  • 0,25 tsp Red chilli flakes

Preservatives

  • 160 g Preserving sugar 2: 1

  • Peel the figs (8 pieces), remove the pulp, weigh 150 grams and cut into small pieces ... measure red wine ... weigh preserving sugar

Manufacturing

  • Mix the fruit, wine, chilli and preserving sugar in a saucepan and leave to marinate for about 60 minutes ... bring to a boil, remove the foam and boil for about 7-10 minutes ... carry out a jelly test ... fill into prepared preserving jars , close and let cool down for about 5 minutes standing upside down ... turn over and let cool down completely

Storage & shelf life

  • Store closed jars in a cool, dark place where the fig jam will keep for several months ... store the partially opened jar in the refrigerator and use up within a few weeks
