Fish: Salmon Meatloaf

The perfect fish: salmon meatloaf recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 g Salmon fresh
  • 50 g Whole grain breadcrumbs
  • 1 piece Fresh onion
  • 1 tablespoon Extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 piece Free range eggs
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 branch Fresh tarragon
  • 3 Branches Fresh dill
  1. Peel the salmon if necessary and chase it through the coarse disk of the meat grinder.
  2. Peel the onion, dice it finely and sauté in a little olive oil until translucent. Pluck the herbs from the stalks and finely chop them.
  3. Mix the breadcrumbs with the eggs, the steamed onion cubes, salt and pepper and the chopped herbs.
  4. Distribute the twisted fish meat evenly under this mixture.
  5. Grease a loaf pan generously and pour in the fish mixture. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes at approx. 200 degrees in a preheated oven. Then cover and place under the grill for another 5 – 7 minutes.
  6. Serve with boiled potatoes and dill sauce.
