Cake in Glass

The perfect cake in glass recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

Sponge mixture:

  • 125 g Butter
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 3 g Eggs
  • 1 tablespoon Freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Grated lemon peel
  • 100 g Flour
  • 50 g Mondamine powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 shot Milk

Halve the dough:

  • 1,5 teaspoon Cocoa powder slightly de-oiled

For the glasses:

  • 1 Pc. Butter
  1. Beat butter and sugar until frothy, add eggs one at a time.
  2. Sift in the flour, mondamin and baking powder, mix in.
  3. Add lemon juice and zest. Add milk, dough should be slightly runny. Halve the dough.
  4. Sieve the cocoa powder and mix well.
  5. Dough with 2 tablespoons each. Pour the dough into the glass, alternately light and dark. Only fill halfway at most.
  6. You can also put simply ground nuts, pistachios, coconut flakes or nougat in the second half.
  7. I used 3 regular jam jars and 1 mini jar.
  8. Grease glasses!

To bake :

  1. at 160 ° C approx. 15-20 MIN. When the cake is ready, unscrew the lid and turn it upside down. Can be stored for 2 months.
