Hack Bean Pan / Stew

The perfect hack bean pan / stew recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 400 g Minced meat / mixed as desired or beef
  • 2 Cans Chopped tomatoes / incl liquid
  • 400 g Green beans or frozen green beans
  • 2 Pc. Roughly chopped onions
  • 1 Pc Yellow pepper
  • 400 g Waxy potatoes
  • 2,5 tbsp Savory
  • 1,5 tbsp Broth / preferably beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 0,5 tsp Chilli powder
  • 2 Pc Garlic cloves
  1. Cut the beans into pieces and cook in the vegetables, beef broth for 5 minutes. Then drain & set aside.
  2. Coarsely chop the onions, press the garlic, cut the paprika into small pieces.
  3. Peel and cut the potatoes into large pieces and cook in salted water.
  4. Fry the mince together with the onions / Konblauch / paprika in a large, high pan & then season with salt, pepper and chilli powder.
  5. Now put the beans in the pan and fry for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Now add another 250ml vegetable stock / tomato paste and the canned tomatoes. Add the savory.
  7. Let everything simmer for 10 minutes. Now add the potatoes in a pan and serve.
