Grilling: Tandoori Yogurt Marinade

The perfect grilling: tandoori yogurt marinade recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 tsp Red chilli flakes
  • 1 tsp Turmeric
  • 1 tsp Curry spice mix
  • 1 tsp Ground caraway
  • 0,5 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 1,5 tsp Muscovado sugar
  • 0,5 tsp Ground ginger
  • 1 Pc. Chopped onion
  • 1 Pc. Chinese garlic
  • 35 g Tomato paste
  • 3 tbsp Sunflower oil
  • 2 tbsp White wine vinegar
  • 1 Pc. Lemon fruit juice
  • 300 g Yogurt
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Fresh coriander
  • Thai basil fresh

preparation

  1. Finely chop the onion, press the garlic. Roughly chop a small handful of coriander and Thai basil each (dried herbs can be used as an alternative.

  1. Mix all ingredients together well in a bowl, season with salt and pepper.

Use as a marinade

  1. Cut the meat and fish superficially so that the marinade can soak in later. Then put the raw material in a non-metal bowl / pan and pour the marinade over it. Let steep for approx. 2 (seafood and fish) to 6 (meat) hours or overnight, turning occasionally.

tip

  1. I marinate my meat in a plastic bag because the marinade is so easy to rub in.

Use as a dip

  1. Chilled out of the refrigerator, this marinade also tastes great as a dip or sauce with various grilled goods.
