Baking: Vital Bread

The perfect baking: vital bread recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 150 g Flour
  • 100 g Whole wheat flour
  • 10 g Wheat bran
  • 0,5 tsp Salt
  • 125 g Yogurt
  • 20 ml Oil
  • 50 ml Lukewarm water
  • 0,5 Yeast cubes
  • 50 g Kernel Mixture
  • 1 tbsp Sunflower seeds
  1. Mix both flours, wheat bran and salt. Crumble the yeast in water and stir until it has dissolved.
  2. Knead all ingredients together except for the core mixture.
  3. Cover and let rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes.
  4. Knead again, working in the seeds.
  5. Now place in a box cake tin, smooth out with a spoon dipped in water, sprinkle with sunflower seeds and let rise for another 30-45 minutes.
  6. Bake at 175 ° C for about 40-50 minutes.
  7. After cooling down briefly, take it out of the mold and let it cool down.
  8. The SEED MIXTURE consists of: sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and flax seeds, all 3 (just like whole wheat flour and wheat bran) good sources of iron.
