Minced Sauce Alá Mama

The perfect minced sauce alá mama recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 g Mixed minced meat
  • 10 piece Gherkins
  • 1 piece Onion
  • 2 tsp Mustard
  • 1 pinch Water from gherkins
  • 1 pinch Maggi
  • 1 pinch Salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp Mondamin dark sauce or thicken with flour
  • 1 piece Bay leaf
  1. Chop the onions and gherkins and fry them with the minced meat. I always let the minced meat sear well a few times so that roasting substances are created. Roasted substances give flavor and make up the dark sauce! I remove it from the gherkin glass a couple of times with the water so that the taste doesn’t get too strong, you can also take a sip of tap water. During the several times simmering until simmering, I add a bay leaf.
  2. When I think I’ve created a good base for my sauce, I stir in mustard to taste and add a few dashes of Maggi. Then I add as much water as I need sauce, let it simmer a little and thicken the sauce with flour or mondamine. Taste the whole thing again with mustard and Maggi, salt, pepper or if you want to add something fresh to the whole thing, chopped parsley! Sometimes I also make the sauce with Championgs!
