Strawberry Layer Dessert

The perfect strawberry layer dessert recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 Light sponge base
  • 250 g Cream cheese
  • 200 g Strawberries
  • 25 g Unsalted pistachio nuts
  • 30 g Sugar
  • 50 g Ground almonds
  • Mint leaves
  1. Wash and clean the strawberries and puree 100g strawberries. Stir in the cream cheese, sugar and ground almonds. Quarter the remaining 100g strawberries except for 2 pieces for garnish and set aside.
  2. Using the opening of a jam jar, cut out 4 small “cookies” from the sponge cake base. (It is best to use straight glasses in which the diameter of the opening is the same as that of the rest of the glass)
  3. Chop the pistachios into small pieces
  4. Now alternately layer the strawberry and cream cheese mixture, biscuit cookies, quartered strawberries and pistachios in the jam jars. The top layer must now be the strawberry and cream cheese mixture again.
  5. Spread the pistachios on top and garnish the dessert with a strawberry and a mint leaf. Store in the refrigerator. By filling jam jars, the jars can also be tightly closed and transported without any problems.
