The perfect egg in nest recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 250 g Frozen spinach
- 1 piece Chopped onion
- 2 tablespoon Processed Gouda cheese
- Nutmeg
- Salt
- Pepper
- 100 Milliliters Vegetable broth
- 300 g Floury potatoes
- 50 Milliliters Milk lukewarm
- Nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon Butter
- 3 piece Chicken eggs fresh
- 1000 Milliliters Water
- 50 Milliliters Vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Salt
The preparation
- Peel, wash and cook the potatoes.
- Let the spinach thaw.
Completion
- Boil the potatoes. Sweat the onion in a little butter. Add the defrosted spinach and simmer gently. Season to taste with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Pour in some broth.
- When the potatoes are cooked, drain them and keep them warm.
- Bring the water with the vinegar and salt to a boil in a saucepan. Then turn it down so far that the water only simmers.
- Slowly slide the egg out of the shell into a ladle. The egg yolk should stay intact. Let the ladle slowly slide into the vinegar water. Now let it cook to your own taste. I take about 4 minutes ~ soft egg.
- In these 4 minutes prepare the mashed potatoes and add the processed cheese to the spinach. Stir, done.
