Oatmeal Biscuits … No Frills

The perfect oatmeal biscuits … no frills recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 200 g Tender oatmeal
  • 150 g Flour
  • 120 g Butter at room temperature
  • 150 g Sugar
  • 1 Pc. Chicken egg
  • 1 tbsp Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 0,5 teaspoon Cinnamon powder
  • 1 packet Bourbon vanilla sugar

preparation

  1. Lightly toast the oatmeal in a coated pan without fat. Cooling down. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees, cover the tray with baking paper.

  1. Beat the butter, sugar and bourbon vanilla sugar until frothy. When the sugar has dissolved, stir in the egg.
  2. Mix the cooled oat flakes, flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon and stir into the egg cream with the milk. Let rest for about 10 minutes.
  3. Place the dough on the tray with a teaspoon. Leave plenty of space. They are spreading quite a bit … laughing.
  4. Bake in a hot oven for about 15-20 minutes until golden. (depends on the size) Let cool down.
