Western Potatoes with Steak

The perfect western potatoes with steak recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 Steak, 250g each
  • 500 g Small potatoes
  • 3 medium sized Onions
  • Salt
  • Black pepper from the mill
  • Curry powder
  • Paprika powder
  • Oil
  • Clarified butter
  1. Wash and quarter the potatoes. Peel the onions and cut into half rings.
  2. In a pan with a little oil, fry the potato wedges and season with salt and pepper. When they are getting a nice browning, add the onions. The whole thing is then with salt, pepper, a little curry and paprika powder seasoned.
  3. Season the steaks with salt and pepper and sear them in a hot pan with a little pork lard for about 2 – 3 minutes on each side and then let them steep a little. The roasting time depends of course on the thickness of the meat and the cooking point you would like.
  4. When everything has reached the desired cooking point, serve hot.

Tip:

  1. If necessary, you can add chives rolls over the potatoes and, if you like, a flake of herb butter on the steak. A wonderfully cool mushroom goes well with it.
  2. The whole thing can also be prepared great on the grill or in the smoker.
