Western Potatoes with Steak
The perfect western potatoes with steak recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 2 Steak, 250g each
- 500 g Small potatoes
- 3 medium sized Onions
- Salt
- Black pepper from the mill
- Curry powder
- Paprika powder
- Oil
- Clarified butter
- Wash and quarter the potatoes. Peel the onions and cut into half rings.
- In a pan with a little oil, fry the potato wedges and season with salt and pepper. When they are getting a nice browning, add the onions. The whole thing is then with salt, pepper, a little curry and paprika powder seasoned.
- Season the steaks with salt and pepper and sear them in a hot pan with a little pork lard for about 2 – 3 minutes on each side and then let them steep a little. The roasting time depends of course on the thickness of the meat and the cooking point you would like.
- When everything has reached the desired cooking point, serve hot.
Tip:
- If necessary, you can add chives rolls over the potatoes and, if you like, a flake of herb butter on the steak. A wonderfully cool mushroom goes well with it.
- The whole thing can also be prepared great on the grill or in the smoker.
