Pure Spelled Bread from Bread Maker

The perfect pure spelled bread from bread maker recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 350 ml Lukewarm water
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Margarine
  • 1 tsp Agave syrup or honey
  • 0,5 tsp Vinegar
  • 500 g Spelled flour
  • 70 g Spelled meal
  • 25 g Spelled flakes
  • 1 packet Dry yeast
  • 0,25 packet Baking powder
  • 2 tsp Wheat bran
  • 2 tsp Dried wheat or rye sourdough, or 1 packet of natural sourdough
  • 1 tsp Bread spice
  1. First fill the 350 ml water into the baking pan. If the bread becomes too dry, 400 ml must be used. This depends on the nature of the water and the humidity at the place of baking. If the bread is too wet, use less water.
  1. Then add all the ingredients, making sure that the yeast does not come into contact with the water immediately (add yeast last).
  1. Set the automatic bread maker as follows: – Whole grain program – Level 2 – Dark crust (or light or medium as desired) and switch on the machine.
