Asian Turkey and Friends
The perfect asian turkey and friends recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 400 g Turkey schnitzel
- 4 cm Fresh ginger
- 2 Chinese garlic
- 1 Habanero
- 1 pole Lemongrass
- 2 tbsp Grained vegetable broth own.
- 400 ml Boiling water
- 200 ml Unsweetened coconut milk
- 2 Splash Soy sauce sweet
- 2 Splash Soy sauce light
- 200 g Snow peas
- 1 tsp Ruth`S Indian Curry see my KB
- 1 Cup Basmati rice
- 1 tbsp Salted butter
- 3 tsp Ghee
- Salt and pepper from the mill
Preparation:
- Wash and dry the meat and cut it into bite-sized pieces. Finely chop the ginger, garlic and habanero. Dissolve the vegetable stock powder in the 400 ml boiling water. Blanch the snow peas in boiling, salted water for 5 minutes, then quench with ice-cold water. This is how they keep their beautiful color.
Turkey:
- Sear the meat in 2 portions with a teaspoon each of ghee in the wok, season each with a splash of sweet and light soy sauce and then set aside.
Sauce:
- Fry the ginger-knofi-habanero mixture with the 3rd teaspoon of ghee, deglaze with the vegetable stock and let it reduce by half for now. On a low flame, of course … Then pour the coconut milk on and let it simmer gently.
- As soon as it is reduced, the snow peas can be added. If it simmers again, the meat is put back into the wok. Now slowly heat everything again, season to taste and let simmer.
Rice:
- Wash the rice with cold water during the reducing process and cook in the usual way. Since I cook on gas, I cannot use any residual heat from a hotplate ….-))) Good so … My rice with gas is best achieved by simmering it in any amount of salted water for about 14 minutes, then straining it. Then he comes back in the hot pot, today he got a tablespoon of salted butter, lid on and in a warm place until the other one is ready.
Serving:
- Put the rice on the plate with the help of a serving ring and garnish with the turkey curry. Sprinkle with fresh coriander or parsley.
