Mulled Wine Cuts

The perfect mulled wine cuts recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • For the dough:
  • 250 g Soft butter
  • 125 g Sugar
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 4 Eggs
  • 250 g Flour
  • 2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 150 g Chocolate (grated)
  • 125 ml Mulled wine
  • For the glaze:
  • 250 g Powdered sugar
  • 6 tbsp Mulled wine
  • To sprinkle:
  • 100 g Chopped almonds
  • Parchment paper for the baking sheet
  1. Stir the butter, sugar, vanilla sugar until frothy, gradually add the eggs.
  2. Sift flour and baking powder and add sugar, butter, egg mixture, grated chocolate and mulled wine. Mix everything into a smooth dough.
  3. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C (convection 160 ° C). Cover the baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. Smooth the dough mixture onto the baking sheet with parchment paper and cook for about 20 minutes. Bake on the middle rail. Let the base cool down after baking.
  5. For the glaze, stir the powdered sugar with the mulled wine until smooth and spread evenly on the dough sheet. Sprinkle with the chopped almonds and let dry for an hour. Then cut into 3X4 cm pieces.
