Minute Steaks with Red Wine and Onions and Horseradish Mashed Potatoes

The perfect minute steaks with red wine and onions and horseradish mashed potatoes recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 4 Pork steak
  • 4 Red onions
  • 30 g Sugar brown
  • 20 g Butter
  • 100 ml Red wine
  • 2 Apples
  • 4 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 Bd Chopped parsley
  • 30 g Horseradish
  • 1 kg Floury potatoes
  • 250 ml Milk
  • Salt
  • Nutmeg
  • Black pepper from the mill
  • 75 g Butter
  1. Peel, wash and dice the potatoes. Cook for 15-20 minutes. Peel the onions and cut into rings. Caramelize sugar and 1 tbsp water in a pan. Add the onion rings and butter. Pour red wine and reduce for a few minutes.
  2. Fry the steaks in a non-stick pan in hot olive oil for 1-2 minutes on each side. Season with salt and pepper and keep warm in the oven. Peel and core the apples with a cookie cutter, cut into slices. Fry the apple rings in the frying fat for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Drain the water from the potatoes. Mash the potatoes with a potato masher. Add butter and 250 ml of hot milk and stir. Season to taste with salt and grated nutmeg. Stir in horseradish.
  4. Arrange the minute steaks with apple rings, onions and mashed potatoes and serve sprinkled with chopped parsley. I wish you a good appetite!
