Golden Turmeric Paste: You need these ingredients

You may already have the spices you need for the paste at home. You need:

  • A cup of turmeric powder.
  • One teaspoon each of ginger and cinnamon powder, and half a teaspoon each of freshly ground black pepper and ground cardamom.
  • Half a teaspoon each of freshly ground black pepper and ground cardamom
  • A tablespoon of coconut oil.
  • Half a liter of water.
  • You will also need a saucepan and a clean glass jar with a screw cap.

Instructions: How to make Golden Turmeric Paste

Once you have measured out all the ingredients, you can start making the paste.

  • Heat the water with the turmeric in a saucepan. On low heat, the mixture should thicken into a creamy paste.
  • However, you have to stir constantly. After about 10 minutes it should be ready.
  • Then take the pot off the stove, no more heat is needed. Now add the other spices and the coconut oil and mix everything thoroughly – the golden turmeric paste is ready.
  • Let them cool down. You can then fill them into the jar and seal them.
  • If kept refrigerated, you can use the paste within the next two to a maximum of three weeks.
  • With the turmeric paste, you can refine sauces and soups. It is also suitable for salad dressings or as a special ingredient in a smoothie. If you like, just nibble a teaspoon of it pure every day.
