Grilled asparagus

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g asparagus
  • 25 g butter
  • 1 handful of herbs (wild garlic, thyme and whatever else the garden produces, including wild herbs)
  • Salt and other spices to taste

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Wash and peel the asparagus. Rinse the herbs and tear them into small pieces. You can use anything you find in the garden, including ground elder, sorrel, daisies, etc. Fold two sheets of aluminum foil in half, add a layer of herbs and butter flakes to each layer, and season. Then add half of the asparagus to each layer, followed by more herbs and butter flakes. Seal the packages tightly, place them on the grill, and carefully turn them over after about 10 minutes. The asparagus will be cooked after about 20 minutes. You can also use herb butter, but the flavor of fresh herbs is much more intense.
