Italian broccoli salad

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 head of broccoli (approx. 700 g)
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 lemon(s), the juice
  • 3 tbsp olive oil, virgin, preferably high quality
  • salt and pepper
  • Water (salt water)

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Broccoli with lemon and garlic, ideal summer dish

Separate the broccoli florets from the stem. Remove any tough bits from the stem and cut into slices about 3 cm thick. Peel the garlic and leave it whole. Cook the broccoli florets, slices, and garlic in salted water until al dente. Toss the warm broccoli with the olive oil and lemon juice in a salad bowl. Season with salt and pepper. A great side dish for cheese sauces or meat. Delicious served hot or cold.
