Etienne's Leberkäse roll with three kinds of onions

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • olive oil
  • 2 rolls
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 shallot(s)
  • 1 onion(s), red
  • 2 slice(s) Leberkäse, approx. 1 cm thick
  • Mustard

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Slice the onions, red onions, and shallots into rings. You can also slice them into half rings if you like. Caution: Do not use diced onions! Heat the oil in a pan and briefly sauté the three types of onions over medium heat. Halfway through the cooking time, add the slices of meatloaf to the pan and fry until golden brown on both sides. Once everything is seared, cut open the rolls and garnish the bottom half with the three types of meatloaf. Then place the slice of meatloaf on top. Tip: This also tastes great with a little mustard on the underside of the top half of the roll.
