Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 chicken
  • 1 bunch of soup vegetables
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 carrot(s)
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 tbsp chicken broth, granulated
  • 2 allspice seeds
  • Soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce
  • some lemon juice
  • n. B. capers
  • 50 g butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • ¾ liter of water
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Clean the vegetables. Then cook the chicken in 3/4 liter of water with the soup vegetables, onion, carrot, bay leaf, chicken broth, and allspice berries until tender. Then debone the chicken and cut into small pieces. Next, make a golden-brown roux with the butter and flour and deglaze with the cooking liquid. Add the capers. Season to taste with soy or Worcestershire sauce, a pinch of sugar, and a little lemon juice. Finally, return the chicken pieces to the sauce and heat through. Rice goes best with this.
