Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 2 tomatoes
- ½ cucumber(s)
- 1 pointed pepper, red
- 2 Pepper, green, not very hot, alternatively green pointed peppers
- 2 spring onions
- 1 onion(s), red
- 10 stalks of flat-leaf parsley
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp pomegranate syrup, sour, Turkish, alternatively 1 tbsp lemon juice
- some salt
- some olives, black
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Turkish Shepherd’s / Farmer’s Salad
Cut all ingredients into very small cubes or rings and finely chop the parsley. Add salt, olive oil, lemon juice, and pomegranate syrup to the vegetables and mix well but gently. Serve on a salad platter and garnish with olives. If desired, you can also top with feta cheese cubes. Fresh flatbread goes very well with this dish.
