Bacon-wrapped plums

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 plums, dried
  • 4 slices of bacon
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 1 red bell pepper(s)
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 80 ml broth
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • Cayenne pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Spread the bacon on a work surface, cut it in half, and wrap each plum in a strip of bacon. Secure it with a toothpick and cook in a pan with a little oil until golden brown on all sides. Peel and dice the onion, garlic, and bell pepper, and add it to the pan with the bacon skewers. Add tomato paste, season with paprika and cayenne pepper, immediately deglaze with broth, and reduce slightly. Season with salt and pepper. Other tapas suggestions: “Moorish Skewers” or “Prawns with Saffron and Tomato Mojo.”
