- 450 g minced beef
- 2 tsp butter
- 2 cubes of beef broth
- 240 ml boiling water
- 120 ml water, cold
- 2 tbsp flour
- 240 ml condensed milk
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
Working time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes
Mix 160 ml of condensed milk with the chopped onions, breadcrumbs, salt, allspice or cloves, and pepper. Add the ground meat and mix well. Chill for a few minutes. Form the meat mixture into small balls and brown them on all sides in butter in a large pan. Dissolve the stock cubes in the boiling water, pour them over the meatballs, and bring to a boil over medium heat. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Mix the cold water with the flour. Remove the meatballs from the pan. Stir 240 ml of condensed milk and the water-flour mixture into the pan. Simmer uncovered over low heat, stirring occasionally. Return the meatballs to the sauce in the pan and stir in the lemon juice. Serve with pasta or fries. We definitely like it better than the meatballs at the Swedish furniture chain we know. My boyfriend hates them there, but loves these!
