traditional Norwegian dish

Use a food processor and mix all the ingredients for about 1 minute until you have a fine and smooth dough. Using a moistened spoon and your hand, form flat dumplings of about 60-80g. Fry the dumplings in butter over medium heat for about 2 minutes on each side. For the sauce, melt the butter in a saucepan and mix it with the flour. Brown the mixture over low heat. Then gradually pour in the stock, stirring constantly. Simmer the sauce for about 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Add the dumplings to the pan and simmer for about 10 minutes. Serve the dish with boiled potatoes and cranberries or mushy peas, or both.
