Swedish meatballs

Combine the breadcrumbs and cold water in a mixing bowl and let it swell for about 5 minutes. Add the ground meat and onions, and season with salt and pepper. Blend the mixture into a smooth dough. Scoop out small portions with a tablespoon and form into balls. This works best if you moisten your hands with cold water. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the meatballs until golden brown on all sides. Reduce the heat and cook for about 10 minutes. Serve with cranberries, mashed potatoes, and brown gravy.
