Swedish dessert with apples

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 150 g rusks
  • 100 g sugar
  • 3 tbsp butter or margarine
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 125 ml water
  • 1 kg apples

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Peel and core the apples. Cut them into wedges and place them in a baking dish. Sprinkle the apples with cinnamon and sugar and pour in the water. Crumble the rusks into small pieces and spread them over the apples. Cut the butter or margarine into small pieces and add them to the crumb layer. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 30 minutes. Vanilla sauce is best served with this.
