Queijadas de laranja – Portuguese orange dessert

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 ml milk
  • 90 g butter, melted
  • 90 g sugar
  • 80 g flour
  • ½ pack of baking powder
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 orange(s), untreated, zest and juice
  • Fat and flour for the mold
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

baked in muffin tins

Preheat the oven to 190°C. First, grease and flour the muffin tin. Heat the milk and melt the butter in it. Combine the sugar, flour, and baking powder, then stir evenly into the warm milk. Beat the eggs until frothy, then stir into the milk along with the orange juice. Then add a little grated orange zest and pour the batter into the prepared baking tins. Bake in a water bath at 190°C for about 30 minutes. Let cool in the tin and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
