Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 340 g corned beef (can)
- 500 g potatoes, soft-boiled
- 2 tsp parsley, freshly chopped
- 2 tsp rosemary, freshly chopped
- 3 tbsp butter or oil (as needed)
- salt and pepper
- 1 large onion(s), finely chopped
- 2 tbsp sauce (gravy)

a quick English dinner without much effort
Place the corned beef in a bowl with the very soft, still-warm potatoes and the finely chopped onions and mash them into a paste. Then melt the butter in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add the beef, potato, and onion mash to the pan. Brown the mixture well and then turn it over with a spatula. Then brown on the other side. Turn a few times until everything is nicely browned. Now drain off any remaining fat and pour 2 tablespoons of gravy over the hash. Season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with rosemary and parsley and serve. Tips: If you like, you can also fry fried eggs and serve everything with extra gravy and English brown sauce. The corned beef hash can be varied as desired, e.g. with extra cooked carrots and peas. It’s very quick and requires almost no work.
