Chocolate Fudge Cake

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 35 g flour, self-raising
  • 60 g cocoa powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 200 g brown sugar (muscovado)
  • 115 g butter, soft
  • 1 small bottle(s) of flavoring (vanilla essence)
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 225 ml milk for the sauce
  • Fat for the mold

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a baking pan. Mix the flour with the salt and 30g of cocoa powder. In a separate bowl, beat the butter and 115g of sugar until soft and creamy. Mix in the eggs and vanilla essence, then fold everything into the flour mixture. Add just enough milk to give the batter a soft, thick consistency. Pour the batter into the baking pan. For the sauce, mix the remaining sugar and cocoa powder and stir in the milk. Spread evenly over the batter. Bake in the oven for approximately 40-60 minutes. Traditionally, fudge cake is served warm with vanilla ice cream.
