Beef in Guinness

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg beef knuckle(s)
  • 2 large onions
  • 6 m.-large carrot(s)
  • 2 tbsp flour, seasoned with salt and pepper
  • some fat
  • 250 ml beer (Guinness)
  • some parsley

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Beef in Guinness

Cut the beef into pieces, peel and finely chop the onions and carrots. Coat the beef in flour and quickly brown in hot fat. Remove the beef and fry the onions until translucent. Return the beef, along with the carrots and the liquid. Bring to a boil briefly, cover, and simmer over low heat for one and a half to two hours. Ensure there is always enough liquid and top up as needed. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve with boiled potatoes on the side. Enjoy.
