Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 5 tbsp sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 250 g butter
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 3 jars of flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 jar almond(s), whole
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Greek cookies with almonds

First, halve the almonds with a knife and lightly toast them in a small pan on the stovetop. For the dough, combine the sugar, egg yolk, butter, and salt. Then add the flour and baking powder and knead. Then add the almonds and continue kneading. Roll out the dough on a countertop and cut out half-moon shapes using a cup. Place on a baking sheet and bake in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 15 minutes. Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar.
