Greek cheese pastries

In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Knead in the butter in small pieces. Add the egg and the milk a spoonful at a time until a smooth dough forms. Work in the cheese and roll out on a floured board. Use a wine glass to cut out round discs and place on a baking sheet. Knead the remaining dough together again and cut out more discs. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 to 225 degrees Celsius for about 15 minutes, until the surface is golden brown. Serve warm or cold.
