Wholegrain Spelled Bread
The perfect wholegrain spelled bread recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
For the dough:
- 800 g Wholemeal spelled flour
- 1 packet Dry yeast
- 2 tsp Salt
- 550 ml Warm water
For the dough
- Put the flour in a bowl.
- Add the dry yeast and mix.
- Add salt and warm water and knead everything well.
- Let the dough rise for several hours.
- Knead the dough well again and place in a floured cast iron saucepan.
- Sprinkle the dough with flour and score twice with a knife.
- Place the pot with the lid in the preheated oven.
- Bake with a lid at 230 degrees top and bottom heat for 30 minutes.
- Remove the lid and bake for another 15 minutes at 200 degrees top and bottom heat without the lid.
