Pan-fried gyros with cucumber dip

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 600 g chicken breast fillet(s)
  • 3 tbsp spice mix for gyros
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cucumber(s)
  • 2 onions
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 bunch of dill
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 300 g natural yogurt
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • chili powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Cut the meat into strips and place in a bowl. Sprinkle with the gyro seasoning and pour over the oil. Let everything simmer for about 5 minutes. Halve the cucumber lengthwise and scrape out the seeds with a spoon. Peel and press the garlic. Wash and finely chop the dill. Mix with the cucumber and garlic and drizzle with lemon juice. Add the natural yogurt, stir, and season with the remaining seasonings. Peel the onion, slice it into rings, and fry until slightly crispy. Then sear the meat well on all sides and cook over low heat for about 10 minutes. Serve with the onion rings and the cucumber dip. Serve with rice or fries. 15 g fat / 9 g carbohydrates
