Garlic bread Italian style

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 8 slice(s) of bread (white country bread), about 1 cm thick
  • 8 tbsp oil (olive oil)
  • Salt
  • pepper, black

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Peel the garlic cloves and halve them lengthwise. Toast the bread until golden brown and, while still warm, rub the cut sides of the garlic cloves vigorously into the bread. Drizzle with oil, season with salt and pepper. Serve immediately.
