  • 1 clove(s) garlic, crushed
  • salt and pepper

  • 4 baguette(s) or ciabatta rolls

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Oven baguette with tomatoes and mozzarella

Rinse the basil, shake dry, and finely chop. Season the margarine with garlic, salt, pepper, and tomato paste, and mix in the finely chopped basil. Cut the tomatoes and mozzarella into thin slices. Cut the baguette 5 times crosswise and spread the seasoned margarine on the cut surfaces. Sandwich each slice with a tomato and a mozzarella slice. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 20 minutes. Tip: It’s also delicious without the mozzarella! Great for grilling, even if you can’t put it on the grill.
