Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 onion(s), diced
  • 1 tbsp clarified butter
  • 1 tbsp paprika powder
  • little water, as needed
  • 4 potatoes, boiled, sliced
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

An old, simple Upper Bavarian recipe that used to be served on farms in a large pot, and everyone ate from the same pot. Slowly sauté onions in a pan with clarified butter until translucent, sprinkle with paprika, and add water. Be careful not to add too much water, or it will become mush. Don’t sauté the onions too softly. Add the potato slices, season with salt, and serve hot with a slice of bread.
