Banana pain

Spread the love

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 3 banana(s), ripe
  • 1 portion of puff pastry, fresh
  • 3 dark chocolate cream

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

First things first: If you don’t have a wood-fired oven still hot from baking bread, preheat your oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat). First, spread the puff pastry on a baking sheet and divide it into three equal portions. Place a peeled banana on each portion. Spread a tablespoon of dark chocolate spread around each banana. Then wrap the puff pastry around each banana, completely enclosing them. Note: Nutella can also be used, but I don’t think it goes well with ripe bananas. Then, place the coated banana in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. As soon as a pleasantly sweet aroma fills the room, the bananas are done and ready to enjoy. This recipe has been passed down in our family for generations. Traditionally, it was always prepared after baking the bread in the residual heat of the wood-fired oven. The bananas were wrapped in the leftover croissant dough.
