Exotic fruit salad

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 m.-large mango(s), ripe
  • 1 papaya
  • 2 bananas
  • 1 carambola slice(s)
  • 1 coconut, peeled
  • 2 limes
  • 4 tbsp honey
  • 100 ml rum
  • 1 tbsp vanilla sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Peel the mangoes and cut the flesh into wedges around the pit, then dice finely. Peel the papaya, quarter it, remove the seeds, and cut into small cubes. Peel and slice the bananas. Wash the star fruit and slice it as well. Cut the coconut into strips. Squeeze the lime and mix the juice with the honey, rum, and vanilla sugar in a bowl. Add the fruit and mix. Cover the salad and let it sit in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. Serve the fruit salad with cream, if desired.
