Rhubarb and banana dessert

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g rhubarb
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 1 orange(s), grated peel
  • 2 bananas
  • 125 ml cream

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Made very easy

Peel the rhubarb, chop it finely, and sprinkle it with sugar. Once it has released its juice, add the vanilla sugar, orange zest, and 2 tablespoons of water, bring to a boil, and simmer for 3-5 minutes. Let cool. Mash 1 banana, slice the other, and mix both into the cold rhubarb compote. Whip the cream until stiff and carefully fold in.
