Apple strudel

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 3 pts. puff pastry (rolls)
  • 6 apples
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup cream
  • 1 egg(s)
  • Sugar
  • Cinnamon
  • possibly raisins
  • powdered sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Chop the apples in a Quick Chef, then place them in a bowl and mix with the sour cream. Roll out the puff pastry and spread the apple mixture evenly over each roll. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon, scattering the raisins on top if desired. Roll the pastry rolls into strudels and place them in a lightly greased baking dish. Mix the cream with the egg and spread over the strudels. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 30 minutes with the lid on, then another 25 minutes uncovered, until the strudel is golden brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve with vanilla ice cream or sauce, if desired.
