Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • ¾ liter milk (whole milk), fresh
  • 5 eggs
  • 140 g butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Combine flour, eggs, and one-third of the milk with a pinch of salt. Bring the remaining milk to a boil and dissolve 125g of butter in it. Add to the batter and mix until smooth (using a mixer if necessary). Grease the Pfitzauf molds with the remaining butter, fill halfway with the batter, and bake at 180°C for about 30-40 minutes. Remove from the oven, dust with powdered sugar, and serve warm with homemade jam (apples, pears, quinces, plums, or similar, depending on the season).
