Sweet and sour pork

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 500 g schnitzel meat (pork), shredded
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely diced
  • 3 carrots
  • 1 bag of peas (frozen)
  • 1 can pineapple, drained
  • 3 cup(s) vegetable broth or chicken broth
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 pinch(s) of pepper
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 3 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • n. B. cornstarch
  • some curry powder
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • some flour
  • Oil for frying
  • little water

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Season the shredded meat with salt, pepper, and curry powder. Coat in flour and fry in batches in hot oil. Remove the meat from the pan and set aside. Brown the finely diced garlic in the pan, season with salt and pepper. Peel and slice the carrots, and add them to the pan. Gradually add the peas and pineapple. Pour in the stock and season with all the other ingredients. Dissolve a little cornstarch in a little water and thicken. Finally, add the meat back in and let it warm through. Rice goes very well with this.
