- 1 ½ cup(s) milk
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 1 sachet of vanilla sugar
- 1 ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp baking powder
- 3 tbsp butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- e.g. maple syrup
- possibly cranberries
- nuts of your choice
Instructions
Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
ideal for Sunday breakfast
In two large separate bowls, mix together the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, vanilla sugar, baking soda, baking powder) and the wet ingredients (milk, eggs, melted butter). Then pour the wet ingredients over the dry ingredients and fold in. Do not mix (use a hand mixer)!! Small lumps are normal and desired! Heat the pan (coated, no fat) to 3/4 heat. Add half a ladle of batter and wait. When the batter starts to bubble and you see the butter melt again, flip it. The pancake will only need half the time on the other side. Serve warm with maple syrup, butter, jam, Nutella, etc. The pancakes can be ideally enhanced with any ingredient you like, e.g. cranberries, walnuts, hazelnuts, etc. Serve with orange juice or something similar!
