Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 225 g cream cheese, soft
  • 125 ml sour cream, plain or sour cream
  • 250 ml chicken broth
  • 1 ½ kg potatoes, peeled, thinly sliced
  • 6 slices of ham (smoked ham)
  • 225 g Cheddar cheese, coarsely grated
  • 250 g peas (frozen)
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Sour Cream Scalloped Potatoes

Preheat the oven to 175°C (top/bottom heat). In a large bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, and chicken broth. Stir in the potatoes, smoked ham, 100g of the 225g Cheddar cheese, and the peas. Pour the mixture into a large greased casserole dish and sprinkle with the remaining Cheddar cheese. Place the dish in the oven and bake for 1 hour. The potatoes should be tender. This casserole is delicious with both meat and fish.
