Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 1 kg pear(s)
  • 1 lemon(s), the juice
  • 750 g sugar
  • 1 liter white rum 54%
  • 500 g cranberries (fresh)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Wash, peel, and core the pears, and drizzle with lemon juice. Sprinkle the drained pear pieces with sugar and let stand for 30 minutes. Layer the sugared pears, along with the sugar and cranberries, in a stoneware pot and pour over the 54% white rum. The fruit should be completely covered in alcohol. Seal tightly and store in a cool place. Perfect with game.
