Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g Camembert(s) or Brie (60%)
  • 125 g Camembert(s) (45%)
  • 2 tbsp butter, soft
  • 2 onions
  • 1 bunch of chives
  • 2 tsp caraway seeds
  • 2 tsp paprika powder of your choice
  • 4 tbsp beer (can be omitted)
  • Salt
  • pepper

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Bavarian beer garden cheese

Cut the Camembert into small cubes and mix with the softened butter. Peel and finely dice the onions, and finely chop the chives. Stir the diced onions, chives (reserve some for decoration), and beer into the cheese mixture (knead vigorously; it should soften). Season to taste and sprinkle with the remaining chives. Let stand a little to allow the spices to blend well, then serve. Serve with hearty farmhouse bread. Tip: Mixing works best when all ingredients are at room temperature.
