Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 400g spaghetti
- 500 g minced meat
- 300 ml tomato ketchup
- 1 tbsp margarine
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1 egg(s)
- some breadcrumbs
- salt and pepper
- Paprika powder, sweet
Instructions
Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes
Knead the minced meat with the egg and breadcrumbs and season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Mix the meat mixture thoroughly and then form it into small meatballs. Heat the margarine in a pan and fry the meatballs in it. In the meantime, cook the spaghetti until al dente. When the meatballs are done, remove them from the pan and keep warm. Add the flour to the frying fat, stir with a whisk, and slowly add enough water until a light, creamy sauce forms. Continue stirring, simmer briefly, then stir in the tomato ketchup, season with salt, pepper, and paprika, and bring back to a boil. Drain the spaghetti and serve with the meatballs and the sauce. We like to serve it with cucumber salad. It’s a dish from my childhood that my children still love to eat today.
