Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 1 large onion(s)
- ½ cup cream
- ½ bunch parsley
- 150 g cooked ham
- 150 g cheese, grated
- 250 g pasta, wide
- some Fondor or Aromat
- Salt
- some oil
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
from Grandma! Tastes fantastic, but unfortunately it’s very rich!
Cook the pasta in plenty of salted water until al dente. Halve the onion and slice into thin half-rings. Dice the ham and finely chop the parsley. Sauté the onions in a pan with a little oil; they should start to brown around the edges. Add the ham and sauté slightly. Reduce the heat slightly, pour in the cream, and season with Fondor. Add the parsley and pasta and mix everything. Add the cheese, mix, and let it all become nice and creamy. I’ve found that the flavor of the dish depends heavily on the onions. If they’re only sautéed and not yet browned around the edges, it tastes completely different. The same is true if the onions are already too brown. I was always annoyed that it didn’t taste the same as my grandma’s until I discovered that the onions really should be brown “only around the edges.”
